Clay, Sinter, Form

2025

The exhibition of ceramics from the collections of the State Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw emphasizes the physicality of the process of creating clay vessels. The objects presented at the exhibition play a key role in a series of posters advertising the event. Using basic visual tools—framing, multiplication, and rythym—I composed micro-scenes and interpreted the stories contained within the objects.

Poster for the exhibition “Clay, Sinter, Form.” Light purple background, brown clay fish in the center. Headline at the top of the composition.
Poster for the exhibition “Clay, Sinter, Form.” Light brown background, diagonal arrangement of three clay animal figurines in the center. Headline at top of the composition.
Poster for the exhibition “Clay, Sinter, Form.” Dark purple background, clay vessel at the bottom of the composition. Headline at the top of the composition.

I based the visual identity on a color palette that includes several earthy, clay shades and a complementary purple. Thanks to this, the colors of objects do not clash with the background and you can always choose the right background contrast.

Poster for the exhibition “Clay, Sinter, Form.” Burgundy background with a clay horse head at the bottom of the composition. Headline at the top of the composition.
Poster for the exhibition “Clay, Sinter, Form.” Light cream background with the figure of a man with his arms wide apart. Headline at the top of the composition.
Poster for the exhibition “Clay, Sinter, Form.” Light purple background, the composition is filled with several brown clay fish. Headline at the top of the composition. The fish seem to swim above and behind the title.

The exhibition is permanent, but the artifacts will be changed and updated regularly. The visual identity aligns with this concept—new posters may appear as the objects are updated.
